Hunger and poverty are two of the major issues facing the population in Palestine. Many families suffer from a lack of food and basic resources, and this is due to several factors such as economic and political blockades, social tensions, and structural deterioration.
According to a UN report, about 1.6 million people in Palestine suffer from food shortages, and this makes up about 50% of the population. Unemployment and poverty also live among Palestinian families, increasing economic and social pressures.
