"Children of Gaza"

Children in Gaza are enduring unimaginable suffering. UNICEF reported that more than 80% of children in the Gaza Strip are experiencing severe food insecurity, and that "all children under the age of five (335,000 children) are at risk of acute malnutrition and death."

The organization stated in its report that "approximately 1.2 million people are suffering from emergency levels of acute food insecurity," meaning that "the risk of starvation has become a real threat for many families in Gaza."

UNICEF also noted that "more than two-thirds of hospitals are no longer operational due to shortages of fuel, water, and essential medical supplies, or due to catastrophic damage from attacks," which exacerbates the suffering of families in the region amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.
